How hard is it for you to resist the internal editor?

 I've found that the hardest thing for me is to resist the editor inside.  I'll begin writing and then the editor creeps in and before I know it i'm stuck on a page making changes.  I'm still trying to subdue to the editor and finish the project.  I guess my question is how do you resist the internal editor?
